Dr. Jon Sicat is both an Internist and Pediatrician. He received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a rotating internship and combined Internal Medicine and Pediatric residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.  He also completed a 1-year faculty development fellowship at Michigan State University.  He is currently the Associate Program Director for Med-Peds at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and is completing his time as Med-Peds Residency Program Director at Newark Beth Israel which he ran for over 17 years.  He is currently Director of General Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Of New Jersey and cares for adult and pediatric patients in his hospital practice.  He also established the Center of Medicine and Pediatrics at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center which focuses on children with adult disease and adults with special needs.  He oversees the Pediatric Clerkship at Children’s Hospital of New Jersey as well.  He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine with prior certification by the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. David Cennimo is a graduate of the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, class of 2001, before continuing on in the combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency. After residency, he served as medicine chief resident for University Hospital, and then completed fellowships in both adult and pediatric Infectious Diseases. Currently, Dr. Cennimo is practicing clinical infectious diseases and infection control at our major teaching affiliate the VA New Jersey Health Care System where he is also the Associate Chief of Staff for Education and the Med-Peds residency site director. He continues to pursue his passion for medical education and pediatric ID as an Assistant Professor at Rutgers NJMS. Dr. Cennimo’s clinical interests include long term HIV care, antibiotic resistance, tuberculosis, and emerging pathogens.
