Obstetrician/Gynecologists are physicians who possess special knowledge, skills and professional capability in the medical and surgical care of the female reproductive system and associated disorders, such that it distinguishes them from other physicians and enables them to serve as consultants to other healthcare providers and to function as primary care physicians for women.

Our Mission

The mission of the Department includes teaching, research, clinical care and service to the institution, local environment, state and country. Our mission includes teaching Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health to medical students, residents, physicians. Our role is to advance knowledge in the field of clinical medicine as well as the basic science of pregnancy and reproduction through research. We provide clinical care to our local community and consultative care in our subspecialties to the State. We also provide leadership in our field, both locally and nationally.
