Urology Faculty

Vladislav Bargman, M.D>Vladsidlav Bargman, M.D.

Dr. Bargman always knew that he wanted to become a surgeon ever since he was a child.  Originally from the Ukraine, Dr. Bargman traveled to the United States to follow that dream and open the door for greater opportunities.  He attended SUNY Downstate College in Brooklyn where he obtained his M.D., and went on to pursue his career as a Urologist.  For him, Urology is not only about surgery, but also about the opportunity to interact fully with patients throughout their care, developing relationships with them while relying on the newest technologies to provide the best, cutting-edge treatment for their care.

Dr.Bargman joined the NJMS faculty because he wanted to be a part of an academic institution.  His interaction with students and residents is so dynamic, impressed daily with the knowledge they all bring to the table.  Being able to teach future surgeons certainly makes Dr. Bargman feel as though he is living the dream.  During their Urology residency, he and his colleagues impart all of their knowledge and experience to the residents in various avenues, such as clinic time and in the Operating Room.  It gives him great satisfaction to watch a resident grow and learn to perform an operation independently.

When it comes to patient care, Dr. Bargman opts for minimally invasive surgery over traditional open surgery when possible.  He completed his fellowship in Laparoscopy and Endourology at the Indiana University School of Medicine, and believes that minimally invasive surgery is the direction of future surgeons.   He enjoys what he does because he is able to develop lifelong relationships with patients and train the future surgeons of tomorrow.
