Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeryplastic surgery intro

The Division of Plastic Surgery is strongly committed to excellence in patient care and cross-disciplinary research that brings current medical developments into clinical practice.

Our team of faculty surgeons provides thorough evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments in all areas of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery including breast surgery, skin cancer, reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery, hand surgery, wound management, and microsurgery.

Our training, clinical experience, and scientific research are driven by a sincere dedication to excellent medical care. Each patient is treated as a unique individual, as physical, psychological, and philosophical differences may affect treatment choices. We encourage patients to discuss these factors and any other concerns with us.

The Division of Plastic Surgery is committed to training the best of the future's plastic surgeons. Our goal is to train independently-thinking plastic surgeons who will become leaders in their field and communities.

The Plastic Surgery Residency program at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is a 6-year integrated program, selecting the best and brightest medical students. Two students a year match into the integrated program, which is administered through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) of the AAMC.
