MCAT Program 

 

Hispanic Center of Excellence Summer MCAT is an academic enrichment program to assist students in preparing for the MCAT examination.  The 6-week summer program targets Latino students who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine and are educationally and economically disadvantaged.

 

Program Dates:

The HCOE Winter/Spring MCAT course begins October 24, 2014 and ends March, 28, 2015. The program is held on Friday evenings and Satudays at New Jersey Medical School. Times may vary based on exercises and discussions.

 

Students must commit themselves to being here for those hours for the entire six-week program. Any student who appears to have difficulty in adhering to the time commitment will be asked to leave the program. No exceptions, for any reason will be made.

 

Eligibility:

The program is open to juniors and seniors in College as well as students enrolled in graduate school and post-baccalaureate Programs. Applicants should have a grade point average of 3.0 or better and must have taken all pre-requisite courses needed to successfully navigate the MCATS, which include Chemistry I ⅈ Biology I ⅈ Organic Chemistry I & II; Physics I ⅈ English Composition I & II.  Students must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
