Sloan Foundation Minority PhD Program

Between 2002 and 2013, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Newark was one of only 47 programs nationwide selected to receive funding from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to provide minority PhD candidates with additional funds during their studies. In 2013, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation changed its funding structure, with GSBS Newark remaining as one of the Legacy Sloan Minority PhD Programs.
