World Sight Day Event

As the Program Director of the Ophthalmic Telemedicine Program, and for his involvement with retinal screenings at Friends for Life, Dr. Bernard Szirth has been invited to speak at The student organization at SUNY College of Optometry called SAPHA (The Student Chapter of the American Public Health) during their annual World Sight Day Event on Monday, November 6 at 5:00 PM. This event is geared toward raising awareness for the importance healthy living and disease prevention and is also a fundraiser for “Our Children’s Vision” (https://ourchildrensvision.org/).

At the conclusion of this lecture, there will be a ‘Dining in the Dark’ dinner experience that will give the diner a sensory experience similar to that of a blind person.
