Overview

Christin Traba, MD, MPH is a native of New Jersey. She graduated from Saint Peter's college in Jersey City with a bachelors degree in biology in 2002. Next, she pursued her medical training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School (now Rutgers). She graduated in 2006 with a joint MD/MPH degree. She then completed her pediatric residency training as well as chief residency at NJMS. In 2010, she joined our faculty as assistant professor of pediatrics. She served as the associate program director for the pediatric residency from 2010 until 2014 when she became the program director. She remained as program director until the program was phased out in June 2020. In addition to resident education, she has been involved in the undergraduate clerkship education, initially as assistant clerkship director and subsequently becoming the pediatric clerkship director, which she remains currently. In 2019, she became the interim Associate Dean for Education and subsequently became the Associate Dean for Education in 2020. She oversees the four years of undergraduate medical education.
