Overview

I received my medical degree from Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine in Egypt in 1990. I completed my residency training as well as chief residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (formerly UMDNJ).I also spent six months between residency and chief residency as an Infectious Disease fellow where I received invaluable experience in the management of infectious diseases and HIV. I subsequently joined the ambulatory care practice. Besides seeing patients in an outpatient and inpatient setting, I am heavily involved in teaching all levels of medical students as well as nurse practitioner students and dental students. I am a member of the residency and clerkship committees and am involved in the interview process for recruitment of Pediatrics residents. I am also involved in multiple research projects and have been involved in securing grants for the projects. I am also currently the Director of Primary Care and the Medical Director of HEAL(Health, Education, Advocacy & Law) and Medical Director Of the WIC Program
