Morris Schaffer Endowed Scholarship Fund

The late Dr. Joseph Fu, acting as Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, established the Dean Morris Schaffer Endowed Scholarship Fund with the Foundation of UMDNJ. This Fund, honoring Morris Schaffer the first Dean of the graduate school, is to be used by the Graduate School at Newark to recognize an outstanding student (PhD or MD/PhD) who is in the early stage of thesis research. The award will be given annually at our pre-commencement banquet.
