RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Biological effects of ionizing radiation, both from external radiation fields and from incorporated radioactive sources. In particular, Massimo has had an interested in DNA damage and repair, cell survival after high-LET radiation, and more recently, he is involved in the study of the radiation-induced by-stander effects in three-dimensional tissue models.
