Saint Barnabas Medical Center

For more than 150 years, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, New Jersey's oldest and nonprofit, nonsectarian hospital, has worked to exceed our community's highest expectations for compassionate care, healthcare excellence and superior service. The institution traditionally treats nearly 33,000 inpatients and approximately 100,000 Emergency Department patients each year. The Medical Center and the Ambulatory Care Center provide treatment and services for 349,000 outpatient visits annually.

Saint Barnabas Medical Center has long been recognized as a leader in providing the highest level of patient care-delivering more than 5,800 babies annually, caring for more newly diagnosed cancer patients, creating breakthroughs in the field of infertility, and providing more than 100 medical and surgical specialty and subspecialty services.

Saint Barnabas is accredited by The Joint Commission and the American Medical Association Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Among Saint Barnabas' nationally recognized facilities are The Burn Center, the Renal and Pancreas Transplant Division, the Heart Centers, the Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, and many more.

Saint Barnabas is part of RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey's largest integrated health care delivery system with acute care hospitals, a Behavioral Health Center, ambulatory care facilities, a statewide behavioral health network and comprehensive home care and hospice programs.

Saint Barnabas Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, is the only hospital in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware to receive a 13th consecutive ‘A’ from The Leapfrog Group, an independent nonprofit Hospital Watchdog organization. Saint Barnabas Medical Center is one of only 49 hospitals in the United States to earn straight ‘A’s since the inception of the program in 2012.
