Grand Rounds and Resident Lecture Series

Our core educational conferences take place on Wednesday afternoons. We have a weekly conference which includes review of all obstetrical and surgical cases by the chief residents as well as Morbidity and Mortality case presentations. This is followed by our Grand Rounds Series which rotates between lecture format, journal club and clinical case conferences. This is a CME activity which conforms to the current CME program requirements. Our invited presenters include faculty from other NJMS Departments such as Pediatrics and Anesthesiology as well as regional experts in our field. The final hour is a didactic lecture for residents. This lecture series covers topics from the CROEG Educational Objectives for Obstetrics and Gynecology residents as well as issues such as resident fatigue, substance abuse and professional development.
