All residents have access to health insurance, prescription drug program, dental care, disability insurance, and life insurance.

An annual educational stipend of $600.00 is provided by the Graduate Medical Education office for medical textbooks, subscriptions to online medical databases, educational software, medical society membership fees, or towards USMLE Step III. In addition, residents are given a stipend of $600.00 to attend resident orientation in June.

The Department of Orthopaedics provides $500 annually to housestaff for medical books and journals.

Daycare facilities are also available for housestaff at minimal cost.

PGY 1 - $61,749
PGY 2 - $65,934
PGY 3 - $69,970
PGY 4 - $74,056
PGY 5 - $76,022

Housestaff receive employment contracts valid for a maximum of one year. The contract refers to the duration of appointment, salary, training level (PGY), vacation, health benefits, liability coverage, uniforms and the obligations of the appointee.
