Meet the Reviewing Committee
Joy Cox, Ph.D. Dr. Cox is the administrator of the Pozen Scholars Program. With a Ph.D. in Communication, and research interests in community service and social justice, Dr. Cox utilizes her skillset to assist students and faculty in organizing their service and research ideas, creating projects that have an impact in multiple contexts. Dr. Cox’s office is located in the MSB building, room B517. Faculty and students are encouraged to stop by and discuss their ideas. No appointment necessary.
Dr. Maria Soto-Greene, MD, MS-HPEd, FACP. Dr. Soto-Greene is the Executive Vice Dean and one of the pillars of NJMS. She has spent the last 30 years giving herself to service and the city of Newark. She oversees the Pozen Scholars Program, as well as both domestic and international application submissions.
Dr. Harsh Sule, MD, MPP. Dr. Harsh Sule is the Associate Director of the Office of Global Health and is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at NJMS. He also currently serves as Residency Program Director for Emergency Medicine. Dr. Sule has a history of global service work in administration and service. He assists the Pozen Scholars Program in international application review submissions.
Dr. Ziad Sifri, MD, FACS. Dr. Ziad Sifri is the Director of the Office of Global Health and an Associate Professor of Surgery at NJMS. Given his extensive repertoire in global health service, Dr. Sifiri assists the Pozen Scholars Program in international application review submissions.
