Palliative Care
Patients with chronic illnesses often frequent the ED during crises within the last six months of their life. Emergency departments (ED) are the staging area for patients’ future healthcare trajectories both during their hospital stay and afterwards; therefore, palliative care skillsets such as communication techniques, symptom management, end of life care, etc. are continually taught and implemented within our emergency care.
