In addition to medical, laser, and surgical treatments for glaucoma, this service has expertise in treating cases that require surgery to correct the outcome of a first unsuccessful operation. The Glaucoma Diagnostic Laboratory and the Glaucoma Telemedicine Laboratory provides state-of- the-art diagnostic services on a referral basis. Current research efforts are aimed at developing new techniques for the treatment and control of this chronic condition. With high resolution imaging technologies we have full capabilities to investigate optic nerve and macular disease. The Glaucoma Division under Dr Khouri is also actively involved in national Clinical Trials for novel medical and surgical treatments of glaucoma.
