The Musculoskeletal Oncology Fellowship Program at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is ACGME accredited. The educational experience allows the fellow to have broad exposure to musculoskeletal neoplasms and diseases. The individual will learn the latest diagnostic and therapeutic techniques of biopsy and reconstruction including endoprosthetics, tissue transplantation and amputation. The fellow is expected to become involved in research and become prepared for a career in academic Orthopaedic surgery.

The individual will be involved in the care of all patients seen by three full-time musculoskeletal oncology attendings. The fellow will participate in multi-disciplinary conferences, planning, and take part in the pathologic processing and evaluation of all surgical specimens. In preparation for their future as academic surgeons, fellows will be expected to participate in the education and training of residents and medical students.
