Articulated Programs

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey

This program was implemented to encourage the integration of the basic medical science courses and advanced natural science courses in order to prepare students for the clinical portion of their professional education. Selected students are able to obtain the BS/MD degree in seven years. Completion in eight years is also possible.


Applicants must have displayed academic excellence, including a minimum GPA of 3.5 or better per semester, be in their third term and have completed at least 30 credits at Rutgers University. Matriculation into the medical school will require accepted BA/MD students to complete the MCAT exam by the end of May of their third year at Rutgers. To matriculate, students must score a 31 or better, with no subtest score less than 9. Admission is limited to citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

Saint Peter's College


Students are required to follow an accelerated major program and are required to maintain a minimum semester and commutative grade point average of 3.5 in all course work and a minimum grade of B+ in each of the science courses required for admissions to NJMS.
