Patient Clinical Trials

Rutgers Clinical Research Organization connects industry, patients, and academic collaborators with the university's academic resources. Annually, Rutgers supports approximately 350 clinical trials, including industry-sponsored and our own investigator-initiated studies. In total, more than 200 principal investigators are currently conducting clinical trials in more than 50 therapeutic areas dedicated to moving forward discovery in drugs, biologics, devices, preventive and therapeutic strategies, behavioral research, and other interventions to improve human life.

The Department of Otolaryngology meets weekly at our Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Tumor Board to discuss patients with head and neck cancer. This tumor board is comprised of Head and Neck Surgerons, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Radiologists, Microvascular Reconstructive Surgeons, Pathologists, and Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons. The tumor board has the ability to enroll patients into several clinical trials that are available to the state of New Jersey. Patients who are interested in enrolling into a clinical trial can vist the Rutgers Clinical Trial website to obtain more information and to see if a clinical trial is right for them.
