As a part of preparation of the full renovation project, several smaller projects have already been completed. While we celebrate these accomplishments, we acknowledge that our journey continues, with ongoing efforts to further elevate the Medical Science Building's capabilities. Stay tuned for updates on our future plans and upcoming phases of this transformative renovation.
Accomplishments:
- Completed upgrades to the fire alarm systems
- Complete replacement of elevators (2 freight, 1 morgue, 4 passenger).
- Creation of on-campus swing space, which includes 60 large cubicles for staff to use on an as needed basis. This is located on the second floor of the DOC.
- Recently completed a noise and vibration test to determine the impact on building occupants. We are currently awaiting the results of that test.
- Most recently, work has begun on the new network closet for the Medical Science Building.
