The renovation project will be a phased project that receives careful planning and consideration from key stakeholders during each phase.

• The initial phase of the project was a comprehensive feasibility study that assessed spaces throughout the building, including research areas and academic, student, clinical, faculty, and simulation lab spaces.
• The next step was a concept phase, during which the school received proposals from architectural firms.
• This was followed by a design phase during which the selected architecture firm develops the final plans for the renovation.
• The first phase of construction will be infrastructure improvements to update the building’s electrical and HVAC systems, followed by the main construction phase of the renovation.

Departments that will be affected by the project can prepare for the renovation by decluttering their spaces and ensuring staff and faculty records are up to date. This includes:

• Disposing of excess paper in the appropriate recycling, waste or shred bins
• Archiving any files through Rutgers Records Management
• Contacting Rutgers Surplus to collect any unused or broken equipment
• All departments should update the space occupancy and contact information for all staff and faculty through Rutgers Work Control Center
