Pediatric Cardiology

About us:

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology provides a full range of ambulatory and inpatient diagnostic and consultative cardiac services for infants, children, adolescents, and adults with congenital and acquired cardiac problems, including long-term care and preventive cardiology services for the Newark area. We use state-of-the-art echo machines and 3D imaging for the diagnosis and management of heart disease in children. We also provide specialized services for adults with congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy and heart failure, fetal cardiology, cardiovascular genetics, hypertension, lipid disorders, and dysrhythmias.  We work collaboratively with the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine(MFM) to manage fetuses with significant cardiac problems to ensure a successful outcome for both the mother and child. We also partner with the Division of Adult Cardiology to manage adults with congenital heart disease.  The Division of Pediatric Cardiology works closely with the Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Division at Newark Beth Israel, providing team-based management of postoperative patients. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology is committed to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows from MFM and Adult Cardiology. Clinical research activities include such areas as clinical outcomes and preventive cardiology.
