The Division of Educational Evaluation & Research is actively involved in educational research, and supports all NJMS faculty who wish to conduct educational research.
Current areas of research:
- Use of high-fidelity human patient simulation as a research platform for developing measurement methods and assessing educational interventions.
- Development of measurement instruments for assessing physician communication skills in end-of-life, acute care settings.
- Assessment of the team-based learning educational modality on educational outcomes.
- Assessment of the use of social networking sites as a communication tool in medical education.
- Identification of Stressors and the Impact on Wellbeing of Emergency Medicine Residents
