New Jersey Turnpike, North or South:
Take
exit 15W to I-280 West to the Orange Street/6th Street exit. Make a right
onto Orange Street and proceed one block to First Street. Turn right onto
First Street which will become Bergen Street. At the 6th traffic light make
a left onto South Orange Avenue. Go one traffic light and make a left
turn into parking lot #1.
From
the Garden State Parkway, North or South:
Take
exit 145 to I-280 East to the exit 13 (First Street) which is on the left.
Turn right onto First Street which will become Bergen Street. At the 5th
traffic light make a left turn onto South Orange Avenue. Go one traffic
light and make a left turn into parking lot #1.
From
Route 78, East or West (from Newark Liberty International Airport use Route
78W):
Take
exit 56, Downtown Newark/Elizabeth Avenue exit. Stay in far left lane to follow
the exit ramp to the traffic light at Elizabeth Avenue and make a left onto
Elizabeth Avenue. At 1st traffic light make a left turn onto W. Bigelow
Street. Follow to the 2nd traffic light and make a right onto Hillside
Avenue. Follow Hillside Avenue to end, you must make a left turn.
At the light make a right onto Irving Turner Boulevard which will become Jones
Street. At the 7th light make a left turn onto South Orange Avenue.
Go one traffic light and make right turn into parking lot #1.
From
New York City:
Take
the George Washington Bridge or Lincoln Tunnel to the NJ Turnpike to exit 15W
and follow the directions from the NJ Turnpike from above. Or take the
Holland Tunnel to NJ Turnpike to exit 14 (Route 78 West) and follow the direction
for Route 78 from above.
Parking:
Upon
arriving on campus, please try to find a space in parking lot #1 (185 South
Orange Avenue) or the parking deck (entrance on Norfolk Street). If you
use the Norfolk Parking deck, proceed to Level A (street level) and follow the
signs to the medical school entrance. DO NOT park in "Reserved",
"Guaranteed", or metered parking spaces.
Mass Transit:
PATH and Amtrak rail lines and New Jersey Transit buses and trains serve Penn
Station in downtown Newark, about a mile from the UMDNJ campus. The #21, #31
and #34 buses stop at the campus. Buildings closest to those routes are: #31
(4,5,11,13); #34 (2,3,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) #21 (1,2,3). Taxi service is available
to and from Penn Station and Newark International Airport.

Location
The Mount Sinai Medical Center campus stretches from 98th Street to 102nd Street
between Madison and Fifth Avenues on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
- There are three main entrances to the Mount Sinai campus
Madison Avenue at 100th Street. Enter through the glass doors. The School
of Medicine (Annenberg Building) is to the left, and the Hospital (Guggenheim
Pavilion) is to the right.
- Fifth Avenue at 101st Street. Enter the Hospital (Guggenheim Pavilion)
through the glass doors. The School of Medicine (Annenberg Building) is to
the right.
- 5 East 98th Street - Faculty Practice Associates. Between Fifth and Madison
Avenues. Visitors to Faculty Practice Associates should use this entrance.
By Car
From New Jersey
After crossing the George Washington Bridge, take the Henry Hudson Parkway South
to the 96th Street Exit. Proceed on 96th Street through Central Park to Madison
Avenue. Turn left on Madison Avenue, right on 99th St., and proceed to the Parking
Garage.
From Long Island
Take the Long Island Expressway West
to the Grand Central Parkway West. Take this to the Tri-Boro Bridge and to the
FDR Drive. Take the FDR Drive South to the 96th Street Exit. Make a right onto
96th Street, another right onto Madison Avenue, and yet another right on 99th
St., and proceed to the Parking Garage.
Via Henry Hudson Parkway
Take the Henry Hudson Parkway South
to 96th Street. Proceed on 96th Street through Central Park to Madison Avenue.
Turn left on Madison Avenue, right on 99th Street, and proceed to the Parking
Garage.
Via New England Thruway
Take the New England Thruway (Interstate
95 South) and the Tri-Boro Bridge to the FDR Drive. Take the FDR Drive South
to the 96th Street Exit. Make a right onto 96th Street, another right onto Madison
Avenue, and yet another right on 99th St., and proceed to the Parking Garage.
Via Major Deegan/New York Thruway
Take the Major Deegan (Interstate
87 South) to the 138th Street Exit. Cross the Willis Avenue Bridge to the FDR
Drive. Take the FDR Drive South to the 96th Street Exit. Make a right onto 96th
Street, another right onto Madison Avenue, and yet another right on 99th St.,
and proceed to the Parking Garage.
From Staten Island
Take the Verrazano Bridge to Brooklyn-Queens-Expressway

The Center is located at West 168th Street and Broadway, immediately southeast
of the George Washington Bridge, in the Heights/Inwood section of northern Manhattan.
By Public Transportation
Subway - Take the 1, A, C, trains
to the 168th Street station. From midtown Manhattan, the A train provides express
service.
Bus - A number of city buses serve
the medical center: M-2, 3, 4, 5, and 100. For additional bus and subway information,
call the Transit Authority at 718-330-1234.
By Automobile
The fastest and most convenient way
to reach the medical center by automobile is to follow directions to the George
Washington Bridge. Then exit onto Riverside Drive. From there, proceed south
and turn left onto West 165th Street (the first left), and then right onto Fort
Washington Avenue to the medical center parking facility.
From upstate New York and New Jersey
After crossing the George Washington Bridge, follow signs to the Henry Hudson
(also called the West Side Highway), and then to Riverside Drive.
From Riverdale and Westchester via
the Saw Mill River Parkway Exit the Henry Hudson Parkway at the Riverside Drive
exit, which is immediately past the George Washington Bridge.
From the West Side of Manhattan Take
the Henry Hudson Parkway to exit 15-Riverside Drive South.

times are approximate; please allow two to three minutes variance. During the

University Medical Center and Morningside campuses after 8:00 p.m. There is
no shuttle service on New Year’s Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s
Birthday observed, Memorial Day observed, and Independence Day.
