Pre-college Programs
Hispanic Center of Excellence Summer Youth Program (SYP)
Hispanic Center of Excellence Summer Youth Program is a six-week federally
funded program that begins in June and ends in August. This program is for students
who have completed the 10th or 11th grade and are interested in science. During
this period, students are exposed to the practice of medicine, SAT preparation,
CPR certification, anatomy instruction, participation in a research project
and visits to colleges. Career counseling and skills development are also provided
for program participants to ensure academic success.
Neuroscience Program for High School Students [Under Construction]
The Pre-Medical honors program is designed to attract promising high school
students to medicine and the health sciences and is offered during the fall.
