The projected renovation of the Medical Science Building is a $400 million, multi-year, multi-phase, research-focused project, and the largest projected renovation in the history of Rutgers University.

The renovation will modernize vital research facilities, ensuring the school’s scientists and educators can continue their work on the cutting-edge of medical science.

In addition to updated lab spaces, the projected design improves the building both aesthetically and functionally by emphasizing open floor plans, natural night, and intuitively designed collaboration spaces.

Renovating the existing structure rather than constructing an all-new building offers the most environmentally friendly option for the project.
