Shwe Sin Ei, MD
Dr. Ei is originally from Myanmar and earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine 2, Yangon, located in the capital city of Myanmar. Before immigrating to the United States, she practiced as a General Practitioner in both rural and urban settings, gaining extensive experience in primary care and community health. Early in her career, she co-founded a polyclinic and served as a team leader for a dietary supplement company while preparing for and completing her USMLE examinations. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York, in 2024, where she was actively involved in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives as a member of the Patient Safety Council. During her residency, she also received the Academic Achievement Award (2020) from the Burmese American Medical Association of Southern California.
Dr. Ei is board-certified in Internal Medicine and is currently pursuing fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) in Newark. Her professional interests include thyroid disorder and Pituitary disorder, metabolic health, and quality improvement in clinical care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ei enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, jogging, and cooking Asian cuisine
