Why I Chose Infectious Disease: Especially during the COVID19 pandemic, infectious disease challenged me like no other specialty, allowing me to hone in my critically thinking and clinical skills.

Hobbies: I enjoy hiking, fishing and soccer. I also love Traveling and exploring new places.

Why I Chose Infectious Disease: I want to Specialize in Infectious Disease because of the variety of exciting cases which includes many contrasting presentations and treatments.

Career Goals: I would ideally like to pursue either general ID or immunocompromised/transplant ID.

Hobbies: Attending live concerts (funk, jazz, indie), listening to medical podcasts, supporting the Rangers and Giants, hanging out with my family and friends, exercising.

Career goals: As someone who enjoys variety, I feel that ID offers a broad-spectrum (pun intended) of infectious pathologies and patient diversity. I chose ID at Rutgers NJMS because I wanted to train in a densely populated area with exposure to the wide array of patients and diseases ID has to offer. I also have an interest in critical care and NJMS allows me to combine my interest in ID and the critically ill.

Hobbies: Brazilian jiu-jitsu, testing my personal limits for spicy foods, watching Paul Verhoeven’s Robocop as often as possible

Hobbies: I truly enjoy cooking traditional Mediterranean cuisine, as well as exploring and broaden my knowledge in World History.

Why I chose Infectious Diseases: In the past, diseases that once claimed countless lives have become curable or manageable, thanks to the relentless efforts of infectious disease physicians. I am truly inspired by the progress we have made, and I am committed to being part of the ongoing fight against infectious diseases, ensuring that more lives can be saved in the future. I have a particular interest in transplant infectious disease, where the complexity of managing infections in immunocompromised patients presents both unique challenges and opportunities.

Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family/friends, reading novels, watching horror movies, going to haunted houses, and playing soccer.

Career Goals: ID is such an interesting and diverse subspecialty. I am excited to further explore all ID has to offer, currently I am interested in General ID and possibly private practice.

Why I chose Infectious Diseases at NJMS: I joined ID fellowship at NJMS, Newark for its prestigious reputation, diverse patient population, and access to esteemed mentors. It also allows me to enjoy the beautiful nature the tri-state has to offer.
