Movement Disorders

The Movement Disorders Center provides consultation, diagnostics, and long-term care of patients with movement disorders. Movement disorders encompass a multitude of neurologic syndromes involving an excess of involuntary movements or reduced movements. The center is dedicated to providing a full range of coordinated treatment and support services to patients with the following neurological movement disorders:

 
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Atypical Parkinson’s diseases: multisystem atrophy (MSA), Lewy body dementia (LBD), progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), corticobasal degeneration (CBD)
  • Essential Tremor
  • Gait disorders
  • Dystonia (torticollis, blepharospasm, Meige syndrome)
  • Hemifacial spasm
  • Huntington's disease
  • Tic disorders and Tourette’s
  • Chorea
  • Wilson’s Disease
  • Stiff Person Disease
  • Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus

The center offers a variety of comprehensive treatment options in order to develop individualized plans of care to address the specific needs of each patient.
