Before you start the application please read the How To Apply. This tab has useful information that will make using the Rutgers University-wide on-line Graduate and Professional Application Portal easier. What are the questions that appear on the application?
There are 9 sections in the online application form. Each section and the questions within can be previewed here.

How to fill the Program Information section in the application?

If I have questions regarding the application, whom should I contact? SGS Newark Health Science Campus or the University-wide Graduate and Professional Admissions department?
You should contact our office and we will work with you in resolving your questions. You can contact us via email or call us on 9739724511

What is the deadline to apply?
If you wish to start in the Fall semester, the application deadline is June 30th of that year. For the Fall 2020 semester, the application deadline has been extended to July 15, 2020.
If you wish to start in the Spring semester, the application deadline is November 15th of the preceding year.

Is there a minimum GPA to apply?
There is no minimum GPA for application to our program. We look at the following elements together: GPA, test scores, letter of recommendation, and personal statement.

What test scores are needed?

  • GRE/MCAT/DAT/NBDE Part 1

either one of these scores is acceptable. At least one of these is required.

  • TOEFL

What are my housing options in the area around the Newark Health Science Campus?

  • Rutgers housing: after you accept our offer of admission, we forward your information to the Rutgers housing office. You will receive periodic communication from them. The Rutgers Housing on the Newark Health Science Campus is called 180 West Market. If you have any questions or if you do not receive communication from Rutgers housing office contact us.
  • Non-Rutgers housing: after you accept our offer of admission, you can post questions regarding housing on the Graduate Student Association (GSA) Facebook page. In addition, you can find more information here.

If I am currently enrolled in one of the Certificate programs, can I transfer into the Masters program?

We typically do not transfer students from the Certificate program to the Master program. You would have to submit an application and be accepted.
