The Doctoral Hooding Ceremony will be on Thursday, October 21, 2021.
Graduates should arrive by 9:00 am, and the celebration will begin at 10:00 am, at the Rutgers Athletic Center (the RAC), Livingston Campus, Piscataway.
Our celebration will focus on recognizing Doctoral graduates individually. Graduates can invite their advisor(s) to hood them at the ceremony. Designated hooders will be on stage for any graduate who does not have their advisor(s) in attendance.

Convocation and Commencement
School of Graduate Studies Convocation
On February 11th, President Jonathan Holloway announced that all 2021 commencement ceremonies are to be held virtually, rather than in-person. To read President Holloway's remarks, click here.
To celebrate the achievements of the class of 2021, we invite graduates participate in our Virtual Convocation Celebration which will be digitally available on May 14, 2021. With the help of StageClip, graduates will be individually recognized through text, photo and video content that may be easily shared with your family, friends, professors, and mentors.
In the near future, eligible graduates will receive a message from StageClip with instructions on the various ways you may participate by submitting brief videos, thank you messages, and your photo. Our hope is that you will take advantage of this exciting opportunity to celebrate your scholarly achievements.
