Virtual Interviews

Welcome to the 2023 – 2024 virtual interview season. The Rutgers Health NJMS Neurology residency has been conducting virtual interviews since 2018. For the 2023 – 2024 interview season all interviews will be conducted virtually via Zoom.

Pre-Interview Time Frame:

If you are selected to interview you will be provided with an interview day schedule, instructions, and a Zoom invitation that requires registration from Gina Delarosa. You will be emailed 3 pre-recorded videos: 1 from the Chair, 1 virtual tour, and 1 introductory video. We recommend that you view those videos before your interview day. You will also be invited to a virtual pre-interview dinner with residents the night before the infterview day. This is an informal time that you can meet and greet some of the current residents.

Interview Day:

Once the meeting starts, you will wait in the main room with all the interview candidates and occasionally current residents may stop by to introduce themseleves. Each interviewer will be in his/her own virtual breakout room and the candidates will be moved in and out of the breakout rooms for the private interviews. You will be interviewed by four faculty members and one chief resident. All interviews will be completed before 11:30. At 11:30 you are invivted to join in Chief of Service, which is a case-based presentation from a current resident. It is an interactive educational experience for residents, faculty, and students. At 12:30 you are invited to attend Grand Rounds.

Post-Interview Time Frame:

You will be invivted to a virtual Open House for all interviewed candidates before Match Day and after our interview season closes. This will be your ultimate oppertunity to interact with the NJMS residents and each other.
