The Rutgers New Jersey Medical School campus is located in New Jersey's largest city, Newark, which celebrated its 350th birthday in the year 2016. Over the years, Newark

If you prefer outdoor activities:
- The Skyland region, is located in the northwest region of the state. This
region is famous for outdoor activities; camping sites, hiking trails and
boating. In the winter, Vernon Valley and Great Gorge attract local, as well
as out of state skiers.
- The Delaware Water Gap
Recreation Area is famous for its outstanding camping and canoeing.
- Lake Hopatcong is famous for the finest lakeside dining in New Jersey. You are also able
to take advantage of the fine fishing, boating and water skiing.
- As little as an hour to our south is the "
Jersey Shore", an area of scenic beaches, amusement parks,
boutiques, shops and fresh seafood restaurants.
- Cape May is very
quaint, for a day or a weekend.
- Asbury Park , Seaside
Heights and Long
Beach Island are not only known for their beaches, but for fun
and wild amusement rides. Off shore fishing and boating are popular too.
- Six Flags Great Adventure is a fun time for the family. This theme park offers live entertainment, seven
roller-coasters and a drive-through safari park.
- MetLife stadium hosts world-renowned musical acts throughout the year.
For you Sports fans, the Newark / New York metro area offers some of best professional
and semi-pro sports venues around! Many "New York" teams actually
play right here in NJ.
Atlantic City is
the eastern seaboard's answer to Las Vegas and is visited by millions of tourists.
Though there are many famous hotels and casinos, there is more to do in Atlantic
City than just gamble. It is also famous for its celebrity entertainment and
gourmet dining. The boardwalk offers an endless string of shops, amusements,
dineries and some of the best salt-water taffy money can buy.
