Welcome to the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS)!
Created in 2002 by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, GHHS honors medical students, residents, faculty who practice and role model humanism in medicine. Students are selected for this society by their peers for their clinical excellence and compassionate delivery of patient care.
Rutgers New Jersey Medical School established its chapter in 2003 and continues to engage actively in Gold Foundation activities and projects.
Projects:
- Lecture series on Humanism in Medicine
- Humanism Movie Night (supported by a Chapter Activity Grant from the Gold Foundation)
GHHS Solidarity Week Activities: Past chapter projects have included a lecture series on Humanism in Medicine, campus beautification, and a website gallery on humanism in action.
Members: The chapter inducts students, residents, and faculty members annually into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. NJMS chapter members have served on the national GHHS Advisory Council and regularly attend the Gold Humanism Summit.
