Manasa Ayyala, MD was named Director of The Healthcare Foundation Center for Humanism and Medicine in 2020. She is a graduate of the following institutions:

Dr. Ayyala is a medical educator committed to promoting physician wellness, professional development, health equity, and humanism in medicine.


Tanya Norment began working at NJMS in 2003 and became the program administrator for the Healthcare Foundation Center for Humanism and Medicine, affectionately known as “the Center” in 2006.

Ms. Norment is the proud recipient of the Rutgers University 2017 Clement A. Price Human Dignity Award for her commitment to NJMS students, her dedication to community service, and her efforts for advancing the work of the Center for Humanism.
