Welcome to the Summer SMART Program!

Thank you for your interest in our program.

Please read the instructions carefully before you begin.

How to Apply:

  • All applications must be filled out online using this form.
  • Do not mail or drop off your application in person.
  • Once you start or submit your application, you cannot go back to change it.
  • Please set aside 30-40 minutes to complete this application and an additional 60 minutes for your essay. Write your essay in a Word or Google doc before pasting it into the application. 
  • You must answer all questions with a "*". If you skip a required question or see a warning, the submit button will not show or work.

Before You Begin, Make Sure You Have:

  • Written answers to the open-ended questions at the end of the application
  • The email address of your guidance counselor or science teacher (for a recommendation)
  •  Your parent or guardian's personal information, including their home address, phone number, and email address
  • If in grades 9-11, your GPA. You can obtain this information from your guidance counselor or through PowerSchool.

Important Dates:

  • The application form for students will close at 11:59 PM (EST) on Friday, May 29, 2026.
  • Teacher Recommendation must be submitted by Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
  • You will receive an email with your program decision during the week of June 15, 2026. 

Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Please review your work carefully before submitting.
