Applying for the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program:

The Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Gastroenterology Fellowship Program accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

  • Applicants must be board elegible in Internal Medicine

  • Applicants must have or submit:
  1. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and a valid ECFMG certificate
  2. 3 letters of recommendation, CV, and USMLE test scores.
  3. ERAS application.

 



TIME LINE FOR FELLOWSHIP APPLICATIONS

DATE:

  • JUNE 18:  You may submit your ERAS Fellowship token request once the season has begun. Tokens will be sent via email at the time you request your token and the transaction has been completed.

  • JULY 1:  Fellowship applicants may apply to July application cycle specialties only.

  • JULY 15:  The ERAS PostOffice opens for July application cycle fellowship programs. The EFDO begins transmitting support documents that have been processed to programs you have designated. The EFDO will transmit documents every business day until March 31.

  • JULY 31:  Match Begins.

  • September - October:  Interview Season

  • November 13:  Rank Order List Closes

  • December 4:  Match Day Medical Subspecialtiy Fellowships
