Applying for the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program:
The Rutgers New Jersey Medical School
Gastroenterology Fellowship Program accepts applications through the Electronic
Residency Application Service (ERAS).
- Applicants must be board eligible in Internal Medicine
- Applicants must have or submit:
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and a valid ECFMG certificate (we do sponsor J-1 visas)
- 3 letters of recommendation, CV, and USMLE test scores.
- ERAS application.
TIMELINE FOR FELLOWSHIP APPLICATIONS

DATE:
- June 4, 2025: 2026 ERAS season begins
- June 5, 2025: EFDO will release tokens to fellowship applicants
- July 2, 2025: July cycle fellowship applicants may begin submitting applications toprograms
- July 16, 2025: July cycle fellowship programs may begin reviewing applications
- September – October 2025: Interview Season
