Division of Gastroenterology & Advanced Endoscopy

Welcome to the New Jersey Medical School, Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology & Advanced Endoscopy website. Since its inception, the Division of Gastroenterology & Advanced Endoscopy has continually maintained an excellence for the treatments of digestive tract and related disorders. Our physicians have expertise in hepatitis and other liver diseases, pancreatico-biliary disease, nutritional disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, therapeutic endoscopy and other disorders of the digestive tract. We have a strong commitment to our patients, their families, and the surrounding community.

In addition to providing patient care, the Division of Gastroenterology & Advanced Endoscopy provides a solid foundation to academics with clinical and basic science research. The division's role in academics further identifies itself by having the largest GI fellowship program in the state of New Jersey. Our fellows are well trained with the latest techniques for treating digestive tract and related disorders. They also participate in scholarly activities such as research along with fostering growth of future physicians, medical students and residents. The training program prepares young physicians to join colleagues in the community or in an academic setting while providing excellent medical care and advancing the field of gastroenterology.

Exciting times are upon us in Gastroenterology & Advanced Endoscopy and we hope these few pages will convey that excitement to you.
