The Occupational Medicine Service provides clinical and consultation services for RBHS-Newark employees with occupational and environmental exposures, illnesses and conditions, including communicable disease prevention.

Days of Operation: Monday through Friday (Closed on University holidays & weekends.)

Hours of Operation: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

  • Medical surveillance exams

  • Employment Immunizations

  • Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Assessment

 



NJMS Occupational Medicine Service is offering flu vaccinations to RBHS-Newark staff and faculty as follows:


Walk-in Clinic: Mon-Wed-Fri from 8:00-9:00am on a first-come first-serve basis. The last person will be taken at 8:50am so please arrive early.

By Appointment: Please call 973-972-2900 or email njms_occmed@njms.rutgers.edu (and someone will get back to you in 24 hours during normal business hours to schedule).

Please have your Rutgers badge. If there are questions on eligibily to get your vaccine through OMS, please call first. If you can, complete the attached screening form and review the Vaccine Information Statement prior to your arrival. If there are any questions related to flu vaccinations, please call or email us. Occupational Medicine Forms:

 

New Hires:


New hires will need to complete the following forms:

  • Health History Questionnaire
  • Acknowledgement of Notice of Privacy Practices
  • New hires will also need to provide the job description/offer letter

Please go to the forms link, complete the forms and submit them to our email: njms_occmed@njms.rutgers.edu


One of our team members will review your job description and medical history, and then make recommendations based on the medical review findings. If a physical or lab work is needed, we will notify you to schedule an appointment with Occupational Medicine Service.
