Undergraduate Training
The faculty of the Department of Neurological Surgery serve as advisors and mentors for students at the New Jersey Medical School, as well as students from other institutions. The department has a strong history of Sub-Intern training and welcomes exceptional undergraduate students and medical students interested in pursuing a career in Neurological Surgery to participate in a variety of programs and interest groups. Each summer, the department hosts up to twelve undergraduate, graduate, and medical school students for funded and unfunded research opportunities with our faculty. These research opportunities are tailored to the interests and goals for the respective students and supervising faculty member(s). Many of these opportunities have led to professional publications in medical journals and/or presentations at national Neurosurgical meetings.
