Musculoskeletal Oncology and Limb Salvage

Dr. Patterson is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.  He completed his orthopaedic residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse. His fellowship  in Musculoskeletal Oncology was completed at the University of Chicago Hospitals.  Subspecialty interests include bone and soft-tissue tumors, allograft and endoprosthetic reconstructions, and limb-salvage surgeries, including complex salvage of failed joint arthroplasties.

Treatment of musculoskeletal tumors

Evaluation of the clinical treatment of bone and soft-tissue tumors

Reconstructive techniques for benign, malignant and metastatic bone tumors

Development of new techniques in the reconstruction of bone tumors
