Division of Nephrology
Division of Nephrology
The Division of Nephrology at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School has assumed a leadership position in subspecialty care and training since 1951. Our faculty specializes in managing chronic kidney disease, using cutting edge therapy to improve the lives of patients with kidney disease and preserve their kidney function. Our faculty also participate in clinical research, having recently completed important studies in the treatment of kidney disease in diabetes and lupus.
The program is dedicated to the education of fellows in nephrology, training them to be thoughtful, empathetic clinicians able to manage all types of kidney problems. Our fellows have gone on to be leaders in academic and clinical nephrology throughout the country.
Together, our team works to manage a busy and exciting practice, consulting on inpatients and outpatients with a variety of kidney issues, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, glomerulonephritis, and complicated hypertension. We look forward to continuing to serve our community of Newark and beyond.
