Foundations of Integrative Human Physiology (CBNP 5165Q)

This course will provide students with an understanding of:

(1) general physiological principles (i.e. body organization, cellular communication, neural and hormonal control, function of individual cells),

(2) regulation and function of major body systems (cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal and endocrine) and

(3) the integration of these systems in the maintenance of homeostasis of the human body.

The concepts presented in this course are intended to provide students with the knowledge of the major physiological processes needed to understand basic biomedical research and the diagnosis of human disease.
