  • Our current pass rate for Part I of the PM&R board exam is 98% over the past 5 years; this compares with a national first-time pass rate on the Part I exam of only 87%

  • Fellowship opportunities are among the most extensive offerings in the U.S. including Cancer Rehabilitation, SCI, TBI, Pediatric Rehabilitation, MSK 
  • Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation (primary teaching affiliate) voted 4th best rehabilitation hospital in U.S. (U.S. News and World Report, yearly)  
  • Mandatory medical student clerkship + 10 electives offered at 7 clinical sites  
  • Mandatory resident research course + research project  

Quality of Research  

  • 574 total publications over past 5 years  
  • 32 faculty publications in field of medical education  
  • Designated by National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research as a Spinal Cord Injury Model System and a Traumatic Brain Injury Model System 
  • Grant funding per year: approximately $14 million

  • Extensive faculty involvement in all 4 years of NJMS: teaching, curriculum development, admissions, alumni affairs 
  • National presence on leading medical policy organizations: AAP,  ABPMR, AAPMR, AMPRA as well as others
