Convocation and Commencement Information

Rutgers University Commencement will be held on Sunday, May 17 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, NJ. Commencement is a formal ceremony held by the university each year to acknowledge the academic success of all students of the university. Tickets are required; online ticket and parking registration for students begins in April 1, 2026. Please see the following website for additional information: http://commencement.rutgers.edu/

NJMS Convocation is scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark, NJ. Convocation is a ceremony hosted by the Dean and Faculty of New Jersey Medical School to celebrate the success and accomplishments of NJMS graduating students. At this ceremony students are individually hooded before they process across the stage. Additionally, students reaffirm their commitment to the Oath of Hippocrates. Students are given 12 general seating tickets for their guests.
