Introduction

The Department of Otolaryngology is involved in numerous clinical and basic science research projects. Our research has been featured at major national and regional otolaryngology and neurosurgical meetings. The faculty are nationally recognized as leaders in their respective fields, have authored numerous textbook chapters, articles in peer-reviewed journals, and are the principal investigators on numerous grant funded projects.

Our strong research program has resulted in over 150 peer reviewed publications in the last 5 years.

The depth, scope and quantity of our research has undergone dramatic growth in the last several years with the addition of new faculty, outstanding residents, eager medical students, and increased grant support. Additionally, as a leading national research university, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, stands as one of America’s largest, most comprehensive university-based centers for health care.
