Research Opportunities

The Department of Otolaryngology supports several research projects that range from traditional basic science research to translational and clinical outcomes research. Our projects involve the subspecialities of head and neck oncology, rhinology, skull base surgery, otology/neurotology, audiology, and reconstructive surgery. In addition, we have researched and continue to explore broader topics of medicine within the field of otolaryngology. These topics are important not only to otolaryngologits but also to other fields of medicine. Such projects include malpractice as it relates to otolaryngology and gender inequality in otolaryngology. Research rotations are available to all residents during their training. They are also availabe to 3rd and 4th year medical students..
