Registrar: Fourth-Year Mandatory Registration

All fourth-year students are required to take the Emergency Medicine Clerkship, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clerkship, a mandatory acting internship and 20 weeks of elective credit. The mandatory courses are offered in ten different registration sequences, depicted on the Fourth-Year Curriculum Sequences Grid below. Fourth-year registrations are processed in lottery number order.

Registration occurs in two phases:

1. All students choose a sequence and an acting internship on the Fourth-Year Sequence Selection form. After processing, students will receive their registration assignments via the Education Management System website.

2.a. Students will register for fall electives after mandatory registration is complete.
   b. Students will register for spring electives in the fall of the fourth-year.
