Alternate Pathway

There is a possibility that MD students enrolled at Rutgers NJMS who are interested in research and wish to pursue a physician-scientist career path can switch from the MD to the MD-PhD program. The switch usually takes place upon completion of the second-year medical school curriculum. Medical students who are interested in joining the MD-PhD Program should contact the Co-directors of the MD-PhD program, Dr. John Chan, Dr. Padmini Salgame, or Dr. Amariliz Rivera.
